From March 10 to 20, 2025, the serene island of Koh Chang, Ranong, Thailand, will host the 12th edition of the Water and Land Contact Festival. This immersive event invites participants to explore the depths of contact improvisation, both on land and in water, fostering a profound connection between body, mind, and nature.
Festival Overview
The Water and Land Contact Festival is a 10-day retreat dedicated to the practice of contact improvisation (CI), a dance form emphasizing spontaneous movement and physical connection. Set against the backdrop of Thailand's lush landscapes and tranquil waters, the festival offers a unique blend of movement exploration and somatic awareness.

Venue and Accommodation
Koh Chang, located in the Ranong province, offers an idyllic setting for the festival. Participants can choose from various accommodation options, including the Cashew Resort, known for its comfortable bungalows nestled amidst nature. While food and lodging are not included in the festival fee, organizers provide assistance in arranging suitable accommodations.
